Not swccg, but Star Wars related. I can't really say this is overpriced, because it is the HOLY GRAIL of Action Figures. The few that exist don't hit the market all to often. Although, this is almost double the asking price of the last one that sold.

I've heard about this toy a lot. I would have thought something this valuable (6 figures) would be better sold on a more "prestigious" auction site.

The real question is, will whoever buys it actually try firing the rocket? I don't know if I could resist the temptation...

High end collectibles like this actually negotiate with auction sites for the best deal. Ebay has been known to waive fee's altogether and charge a very small percentage of the final selling price just to get the clicks on the site.

It was just a few years ago that the "Nicolas Cage" copy of Action Comics #1 (9.2) was sold through ebay. From what I heard, they just charged a flat rate instead of the usual 8-10% of the final bid. (3.21 million was the winning bid)

The Sp/NM Japanese Vader sold for $470. Is this the highest any single card has sold for?

Whaaa? Is that really "The rarest card in Star Wars CCG?" Forgive my ignorance... I feel like I've seen that for sale a few times, although I admit I don't pay much attention to Japanese cards...

Edit: I guess I do see that a few sold over the past few months. The price almost doubled with this one. Crazy.

I have to imagine this is way overpriced, but it's also the first complete set I've seen posted in over a year (fyi, the last one I saw posted was at $500, but I think it was probably a little underpriced then, edit: and even more now!).
Another set up at $1,500:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-CCG- ... Swxppe-glL

Looks like all but Maul / Qui-Gon could be had from WTG for about $650 ($300 ISD/$150 CC/$200 for remaining 24).

Yeah I think the absurd price is a mix of convenience for getting it all in one go, and the fact that a LOT of people don't know about WTG.

"II HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE AT AL ABOUT WHAT THESE CARDS ARE OR WHO THEY ARE OR WHAT THEY ARE WORTH" ... But damn, they must be worth at least $43.20.

Thank you Parker Brothers, for this wonderful game that we all love so much.

Too bad PSA mislabeled it as Death Star II instead of Reflections II.

Actually remembered seeing this on Youtube earlier this week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4_g78pM_po

I know it seems to be up to get offers, but with that list and and ask for "serious" offers, what constitutes serious? Perhaps relevant in the graded cards thread, but it doesn't seem graded cards are currently really drawing much of a premium. Would it even hit $500 in an auction?

I would seriously give him $50 for it

I feel like PSA was very generous with a lot of those grades. I've heard they are very strict and with the visible wear on the corners and edges of some of those (on camera and through the case no less) I'm shocked they got 8s.

It depends on the person you get that grades them too. I've got a friend that owns a comic store. He used to send them off to get graded. He'd get some back that would have higher grades than ones we thought were in better condition.

The people that grade are under a quota to get so many done. I'm sure some will just rush through ones to catch up at times.

Ah, the rare 1995 Reflections II white border foil that must also be a misprint because it doesn't have foil.

What is it about Run Luke Run that makes so many people think it's worth a fortune?
