I noticed the ticket sticking out of the box in my still-sealed unlimited Prem box. Shook the box a bit and got it out - 000375. Even for an over-printed product like WB Prem it feels cool to have an early run box like that.
SWCCG Booster box population - numbers produced?

Re: SWCCG Booster box population - numbers produced?
Is that Tatooine box for real? 110k? or you mean 11k?
Also, some other side learnings from this data...
- Endor onward is scarce compared to pre-special edition
- Episode 1 is really scarce compared to pre-special edition (Theed and Coruscant for sure, maybe Tatooine, maybe not)
- Foils are very scarce in production compared to their non-foil counterpart cards.

Yes some incredibly interesting stuff here. Granted, I don't think our sample size is large enough but still....muttzen wrote: ↑June 21st, 2020, 5:16 pmIs that Tatooine box for real? 110k? or you mean 11k?

Foils were a lot cheaper up until recently and I do think they are much rarer than people originally thought.
People also really thought that Tattooine was far more common than Theed and coruscant, but I don't think that's the case. I think it has a slightly larger print run, but I think it's a lot rarer than most people think.
Very glad we're doing this! It'll be interesting to see how numbers go up as more people contribute their numbers.

Re: SWCCG Booster box population - numbers produced?
Great information! If there were 11,448,000 booster packs made, that comes out to 318,000 booster boxes of limited premiere (or 53,000 cases).

It is not uncommon for serial number counting system to appear semi-random or start from a higher number to make it seem like they made more than they actually did.Weyoun9846135 wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2020, 8:33 am...which however puts the whole exercise in the OP into question

Re: SWCCG Booster box population - numbers produced?
First print run was less it says. It then did a zillion print runs after that for Anthologies and EPPs.

Re: SWCCG Booster box population - numbers produced?
I thought the anthologies/EPPs/reflections were all leftover cards/packs, not reprints. They don't have later copyright dates on the cards either.
Re: SWCCG Booster box population - numbers produced?
I think they were additionally ordered print runs from the beginning. Like print run 1 of WB premiere was x. They then did y number of additional print runs for WB premiere. Then they realized they over printed and threw it all in EPPs/anthologies.quickdraw3457 wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2020, 10:23 amI thought the anthologies/EPPs/reflections were all leftover cards/packs, not reprints. I have a box of Dagobah Revised with number 09850.
The fact I designed Deep Hatred (v) shows that anyone has a chance to win a v-card design. Anyone.

Re: SWCCG Booster box population - numbers produced?
I have a (empty) Theed box with even 15000. Another in 149xx. I can check my other empty boxes. I should have at least Dagobah Unlimited and Tatooine.

Re: SWCCG Booster box population - numbers produced?
Just curious about the premiere lt. estimates here (750k boxes)..
As per https://web.archive.org/web/19970607124 ... ml#PREMIER it looks like there was a run of 160,000 starter packs and 11,448,000 booster packs (which I think is less than half that number, no?

Re: SWCCG Booster box population - numbers produced?
That’s really interesting! Perhaps the tickets in the box don’t correspond to absolute numbers then? Would love more feedback from those in the know here. Because there are definitely tickets in limited boxes that say 6XXXXX. But your source seems very definitive.
