Easter Eggs

Post by ShadowLeader »

We might as well start this thread up...

So, let's go for who remembers what "Official" Easter Eggs are out there...

We'll let this list run a while, and then we'll edit it back and make a single combined list.. (Possibly deleting this thread and replacing it with a new one).

[Lets follow this format]
LS/DS Card: (Easter Egg)

Premiere:
DS Tonnika Sisters (double set of "alien eyes" in card type Icon)
DS Gravel Storm (This card Rocks! near copyright logo)

LS Tzizvvt (multiple fly-eyes in card type Icon)

ANH:
DS Retract the Bridge ("Vertigo" spelled out in the lights in the image)
DS Bespin Motors Void Speeder THX 1138 (THX 1138 is the name of Lucas' first film)
DS Dark Waters (Ewok doll floating in the dark waters, upper right)
DS Defel (Hidden on the uniform shoulders are the letters "WYOU" and "XERB". "WYOU" is Wolfman Jack's (American Graffiti) first radio station (circa 1960), in Virginia. Decipher is in WYOU's broadcast area. XERB is the station he was on later in California, where George Lucas heard and decided to include him in American Graffiti)
DS Hyperwave Scan (The X's and O's create a Tic-tac-toe game, X's win)

LS Death Star: Trench (buildings make letters that spell "The Art of Great Games" on the right side of the trench on the right side of the image)
LS Bynar Droid (copyright date is in binary)
LS Luke's Hunting Rifle (The Campbell's soup can reads "Cream of Womprat". Campbell's is a famous soup company. Joseph Campbell is an additional egg, referring to the author Joseph Campbell, one of the big influences on George Lucas in developing the Star Wars mythology and history)
LS Scanner Techs (Hidden in the background panel are the letters "WBN", which are the call letters for the radio station WBN (Radio station from Radioland Murders))
LS Sensor Panel (The Words "ANEWHOPE" can be found in digital mileage readout display.)
LS Undercover ("Good Evening" written vertically. These words, along with the profile shadow on the wall, are a reference to the classic TV series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." At the beginning of the show, Hitchcock's shadow, in profile, would appear on a wall. When introducing the show, he always began with the words "Good evening.")
LS Yavin 4: War Room (People were added to the scene, on the left of the viewscreen there are four people standing against the wall. From left to right, they are: Matt Mariani (former Decipher Marketing Director); Ronald Reagan (past President of the United States; initiator of "Star Wars" satellite program) ; Bob Hudsol (Rebel Commander) ; Warren Holland (Decipher Chairman and CEO). To the right of the viewscreen, the fourth person standing in the shadows looking out of the card, is Jerry Darcy (Decipher Star Wars Design Team).)
LS You're All Clear Kid (253 located in the center bottom of the image. 253 is the former street address number of Decipher's offices (253 Granby Street))

Hoth:
DS SnowTrooper (SnowFlake in Imperial Symbol card type Icon)
DS Crash Landing ("J. G. Ballard" is printed on the side of the snowspeeder, on the front facing of the metal plating, to the side (underneath) the cockpit. J. G. (Ballard also wrote Empire of the Sun, which could be stretched into a tie in with Empire Strikes Back.))
DS Death Mark (In the upper left of the image, in the Effect icon, there is a small skull hiding!)
DS Debris Zone (One of the pieces of landing shrapnel is a tiny snowman.)
DS Deflector Shield Generators (Hidden in the image of the struts underneath the globe reads "B. Fuller". Well, I would like to know what is on that support strut for Hoth DS Responsibility of Command. All Decipher has is the strut circled in yellow, so I'm very curious as to what is hidden there.
