I may just print this document and display it in a binder instead of finishing my collection lol.

This is awesome, thank you!

Thank you to all for the comments. I appreciate the gratitude.

Many, many hours got poured into this document, but it was a well worth it and something I've been wanting to do for some time. I found myself looking up previous threads or trying to track down information I know I had seen before far too often. Chris' original releases of the encyclopedia always intrigued me with their content and it was a pleasure getting to work with him and Scott to release this updated version. I think it really has become a definitive reference document on the Decipher era of SWCCG.

Hoping this release helps bring out some of the missing items from others to include to fill in the remaining holes.
Amazing work, its a great to see the history displayed like this

Ironically, this makes me want to seek out more collector type stuff. Part of me really wants to find some/all of those magazines.

There was also an Inquest that had a bunch of "dream cards" shown (with painted art), like Mara, Dash, Thrawn and other never before revealed ones. That was years before Reflections 2 came out.

I have the painted art cards from the inquest if that helps. If it does, at what resolution should they be scanned and who should I send them to? Also, did anyone ever snag high res-scans of the banner posters? I might like to print those up some day. If you have the link, can you send to me?

Take care,

Hayus.

I see there are still a few photos that are being tracked down so I have a suggestion that I hope might be easy.

The insert rule cards/set lists for the episode 1 sets (Tatooine, Coruscant, and Theed) might be a nice inclusion. They typically don't make other card lists such as the packs at the login to the gemp screen and this might be a good place to put them. They were actually pretty well done and might be a cool inclusion for people who haven't cracked one of those packs in 20 years.

I think I have nearly all of them, pretty sure I am missing a theed checklist, but would be happy to send photos of what I have if it helps.

Scans of the Inquest cards would be a great inclusion. If you could scan at 300DPI or greater, that'd be perfect. Probably the easiest submission method is email to scott@starwarsccg.org as long as file size allows.

We scanned all the posters in at high resolution and cleaned them up in Photoshop for crease lines and such for this encyclopedia update. I believe the plan is to post them on the PC website in the near future.

Good thought on those checklist / rule cards. I have them all also, so can do some high res scans to add them in. Thanks for the offer.

Not sure if these are considered Easter eggs, but I always loved the reference:

•Leia Of Alderaan
Lore: The face that launched a thousand starships.
-> Helen of Troy was the face that launched a thousand ships

Furry Fury
Lore: 'All right, don't lose your temper.' Hoth hath no fury like a Wookiee scorned.
-> Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned., from: The Mourning Bride by British playwright William Congreve.

The Encyclopedia of Collecting for Star Wars CCG was recently updated – for the first time in five years – as Version 3.0! This iteration takes the contents of previous versions to an exceptional new level, increasing the number and quality of images; incorporating additional information and detail throughout; and inserting checklists and total card counts for each set, among other enhancements. There are many new graphics and visuals to summarize the products that Decipher published, including posters, t-shirts, print campaigns, sales sheets, and uncut card sheets. The Encyclopedia 3.0 also includes magazine coverage and tournament promotions. This document has it ALL – there has never been a more comprehensive, tangible, one-stop shop for the Decipher Era’s outputs!

We want to thank Kevin Wilson for putting this document together. His hard work and dedication has led to what you see today! Lastly, as you are going through this amazing document, you will see some outstanding items – if you have one, email scott@starwarsccg.org.

You may access the Encyclopedia v3.0 here:
https://www.starwarsccg.org/collecting/

Also note that the Master Card List - the 3rd item at the above link - was also updated recently, with Virtual Set 13 cards. The Master Cardlist is an Excel spreadsheet with all Decipher & Virtual cards (and underlying cards/sets/rarities) that can be sorted and utilized as a digital inventory mechanism.
Thanks Kevin and Jared, the new version of the Encyclopedia looks great!!!

Might be cool to expand the Easter Eggs section in a next version with a table of the anagrams contained in card titles: https://web.archive.org/web/20160406045 ... grams.html

For future iterations, there are these tournament player pins that are essentially the key chains that are in the encyclopedia but are a pin.
