I think it's important to, at a bare minimum, give those who wish it, the opportunity to play Legacy at EC, even if they can't do so in the main tournament. If nobody at all shows for the Legacy tournament, we talk about changing it for '16.

Who knows. Maybe I'll resleeve that Scoundrel deck again... ever so fun :)
If you could sleeve up your Scoundrels deck and a DS legacy deck then I could borrow them when you Top 8 and I scrub out :D

It's pretty much as you both said.

I gave my word to the legacy fans and will support this format for one important event.
I will also have at least 10 playable decks on each side to give out to whoever wants to play.

Of course, if every-one wants to play standard (reset) consolation on day 3, then I'll host that (or both events). Whatever the players prefer.

For now, let's concentrate to offer the legacy players something for this event.

I Will try to win the main event. If i dont succeed i Would prefer a consolation event with the new cardpool for sunday. But if the legacy guys insist i thibk its cool to give Them an event to make up for the loss of Their beloved format. I used to love it too but now im totally over it. Im over it like downey JR. Is over cocaine, though, so i Can definetely be convinced to throw together some sort of super tech broken droid stuff if the party Vibe goes in that direction.

Lets see if the format still draws attention of the euro scene at that point.

No matter what: lets have a blast.

I know that I kept my 2 EC 2014 decks still sleeved for this occasion, plus 2 more that I loved very much.
i don't mind playing anything. Legacy, Scenario format, etc. :)
As long as it is fun, and Legacy was (and is) still a fun format. :)

Yeahhh! We're set up under the "upcoming major events" section.

Check back for everything "European Championship" there (and here).

Also check out the banner on the main homepage, which will link you to all Euro dates.

And last, but not least... wait for a message from your trusty flight leaders.

Cheers

Chris

I will plan to attend this event in 2015, assuming I am in my current job still and can just arrange a Europe trip to coincide with event.

Sadly I tore up my old Mystril deck and legacy WHAP....

Yeah, that's great, Michael. I'll try to have a Mystril and WHAP deck for the side event for you. They might not be the weird Erisman kind though. ;) (Senate with Clouds any-one?). :)

Trying to plan a schedule.. If I fly into Dusseldorf a day before, would it be possible to get a ride and/or crash with someone for a night (for both the wife and I)?

I can't help with the accommodation but it would seriously cool to have you attend the European Championship Joe. :-D

If you don't find a place to crash to, you can go to the very cheap hotel we're going (the Italian team). :-D
It's like 30€ a night for 2 persons.
We still have to book because I still don't know how many we will be. It will be from 2 to 5 persons. :)

I just booked my flights (arriving on Friday, leaving on Monday), so I'm looking for roommates!
