I will be there, assuming we finish hiking the Camino in time. I have a flight from Santiago to Düsseldorf for October 13.

Awesome, Joe!!

I hope that we will have some others attending from America as well.

Stephen Kim, Michael Erisman and now the dreaded Minnesota crew ;) were thinking about this at some point.
We will be happy to have all of you here.

All Americans attending will get an extra special shiny prize as well!!!

Are you planning to hike with your cards in the backpack?

I'm shipping some stuff ahead to Angelo who's going to bring it to the tourney (things we'll want for our travels around the world, but not want to carry on the camino hike). I may put decks in there. Or I may show up w/o decks, and just borrow whatever random stuff someone has half built. :D

I'm not too worried about it, I had my SW competitive time this year, this will just be for fun and to hang out with the awesome europeans!

We played at worlds 06. I don't remember what DS I played, but you played space slug brilliance against me, and I got CRUSHED. It was very enjoyable (and obviously memorable, 9 years later). :D

Ah. :D
That was the consolation event.
LS Space Senate. Free drains, free Mas Amedda damage, political drain adder, etc.
All with a stupid Y-Wing getting "eaten" over and over.
The deck had a big autoloss at that time: vs IG-88 (V) due to Despair (V).
And of course I met Reid playing the exact same deck that day. :D
So he "avenged" you, don't worry. :P

I still preferred the same trick in Droid Invasion. But it was less broken there because it didn't help you satisfy Battle Order.

Edit no worries found the info thread.

I have established a doodle poll where you can enter all the events, you would like to play in.
Needless to say, it helps us a lot to know how many players to expect for each event.

Enter the events you want to play in here:
http://doodle.com/poll/3awnthxm8kakek4m

Please enter your full name (first and last name) and mark every event you want to play in.
Be aware that some events might have limited capacity. These will be handled on a "first come first served" base.
This may even include the team tournament, since we might do it as an elimination event (like it was done at Worlds).

On Sunday we will have a Consolation tournament, which will be either a LEGACY or RESET event (depending on expected participation).
If there are enough players for both, then we'll do both. Please check the tournament you would play in, if you would NOT make day 3 on sunday.

Chris, I found around 1-2 box of boosters worth of premiere home during my moving out (I just changed flat).
Let me know if I should bring that.

Thursday:
The "gambling" is just that... whatever you guys want. ;)
I won't arrive till Friday 2 pm, so I'll leave that up to the locals to decide.
There was usually not enough attendance to organize a real event for Thursday.

Sealed Tourney:
We will finish the sealed tourney and won't start the team tournament before it's finished, so yes, you can play both.

Team Tourney:
It will probably be elimination style, so if your team loses the first round... you're out. This has the advantage that you don't have to continue playing, when you have no chance of winning. Especially a day before a major event. We've had a lot of drop outs the past years, so that should help. Everybody can play for a few games.

I updated the info in the main first post as rlx said.

Massive drop-outs is obviously not great, however, I've always felt that the Team Tournament was more of a fun fred tournament style, but doing elimination makes me want to bring better decks for it, so I can play more games. Rather than playing fun/left field decks that might be something.

Again, losing 4 games with the Florn Lamproid build has been the best team tournament I've ever had.

I think the outcome of the tournament and a rough overview (number of attendants, deck statistics) and especially our new champion (if he is ok with that) should be in the news on the front page.
