all Worlds day 2 and day 3 decklists are now posted

Post by jcb213 »

Day 3 decklists are posted on the main page. Jeremy is working on a table of contents, but in the meantime here are direct links:

1. Justin Desai - DS Naboo CRv - LS TRM
2. Johnny Chu - DS Naboo CRv - LS TRM
3. Joe Olson - DS Naboo CRv - LS WYS LSJK
4. Matt Sokol - DS EOps - LS Combat
5. Emil Wallin - DS BHBM - LS WYS LSJK
6. Matthew Harrison-Trainor - DS Naboo CRv - LS QMC
7. Jan Westergard - DS TTO - LS WYS LSJK
8. Mark Walseth - DS BHBM - LS Combat

Fun fact – 6 of the 8 day 3 LS decks played Like My Father Before Me.

Tomorrow I'll start working on posting the day 2 lists that have been typed up. If you are typing up day 2 lists for me, please let me know if you don't think you'll be done in the next day or two because a few other people have volunteered to help and have free time now.

Thanks for writing these up. For what it's worth I played one satm/bp and one satm non combo.

Sorry about that. It was above a crossed out card on the decklist and SATM was written in small above, so I assume it was the combo. I will update the list.

There are really 4 effects that you wanna start in desai and chus trm builds. Against what decks do I start what and what is the most common start?
Results:
European Championships 2014 - 3rd place
European Championships 2013 - 8th place
Toola Regionals 2013 - runner up
European Championships 2011 - 5th place

We'd start the luke effect vs everything except endor opps (or bhbm which we didn't take into account when building). The concept is luke already deploys for 5 to endor and you want your space vs that deck anyway.

There was a ton of tto played on day 2 (including each of our round 1 opponents). Our plan was to play start squad assignments and hopefully get out artoo in red 5 + the 1x farmboy to endor turn 1, then fish out all wings and back up luke with wedge or anakin early and take a commanding lead in space and then go to the ground.

Theory wise it seemed like a good idea. I playe against 0 endor opps day 3, but farmboy luke held his own on the ground holding a green lightsaber. :???

Question to Joe - how does your deck match up against IE?
I can see some tech here in this build, but can you win?

That's a tough one. One reason why it has 2x free ride occupation canceller. Demotion lets you spin (put it on maarek steele) to whittle them down in space.

So yes, it can win. You can kill the devastator early, or you can go to kessel to drain.

But it is a tough game. Fun matchup though--good one to practice.

To the folks that played Mos Eisley in their WYS: Did it ever make a positive contribution in game, or was it more a liability because of its destiny?

Jan open-handed it vs me the first game and it added 2 to his drain (+1 saber, it wouldn't have added in the Cantina due to Resistance) basically the whole game. It definitely sucked to see it first turn.

Joe had a very strong game against MHT where he opening handed it. Against Desai, he couldn't find it and that made for a much rougher game because he couldn't maintain ground presence. BFred wished that we left a Mindful Of The Future in.

(wouldn't care if the whole "combating mechanic" was completely wiped out in favor of something else or even actual battling. I just love the concept of starting 2 giant battle grounds and encouraging each player to throw their Jedi there... now that's Star Wars, folks.)

Thanks for organizing this, James! Very awesome, and hopefully smooth enough to work as a system going forward.

Is anyone making these in Holotable for others to download from the site or they can share with people?

The reason I'm asking is that I want to show people how to play some of these decks.
