Data Mining from Day 2

Post by Karrdeshark »

Thought I'd move this to its own thread, I compiled the results (by player, deck archtype, and game-by-game results) into an Excel file. I also added SOS calculations this morning. I know who won/lost Game 8, but I don't know who played who in many cases, so please shout those out if you know specific pairings.

UPDATE:

I have updated the SOS section to use the Total VP/ Total GP (instead of per opponent and summing the results).

I went 4-0 with dark and 2-2 with light. Not sure it matters but you have me as 3-1 and 3-1 with each.

I was going off the game standings in the updates thread, can you look that over and tell me which one was off?

My initial guess is that you beat Jan with dark in Game 7 and lost to Chu with your light in game 8?

Since I don't have the game 8 results, games 7 and 8 are the most likely to be off by side or result. If folks have time and want to verify their complete track record that would be great! If there are errors, please just post your own in this thread with this template so there's no ambiguity:

Game 1: side/opponent/result
Game 2: etc.

LS overall wins are prety close to DS overall wins: 120 to 123... Interesting. Where's that imbalance?

I posted about this before, but the imbalance is that players who went 6-2 did better with DS than LS, and players who went 3-5 or less did better with LS than DS

I mean every error is a swing of 4 right? And actually 8?

For example Matt beat jan with ds. That means 1 more ds win and 1 more Ls loss. But also one less ds loss and one less ls win. AND the records are right which means jan won with ds in round 8... And that chain reaction too.

Yeah, I think the sides for game seven were quite a bit off, which will change the overall numbers by several games.
