we have a couple other volunteers who can rotate around our sunday lineup, but what we need most now is for someone who can partner maven for the saturday broadcast

I have hold off on making any appointments for the Saturday evening (European evening that is) so I am likely able to do some more games if there are no other volunteers.

All,

Working on the show prep for this weekend. Does anyone have day 3 results for worlds 1996-2004 anywhere? I know most of those years were swiss, but I think 2001-2003 were brackets IIRC.

Also, (probably the answer is no here due to time constraints), but Magic has gone to a thing where they stream every match - like not all 4 top 8s get played at the same time, so that each one can be featured on the camera. Too late IMO to tinker with the format for this year, but is it even plausible for the future? Probably not since magic games take 20 min and swccg take 60+.

Looking forward to my first shift as commentator tomorrow!! I'll be available around 12:30 to get set up and get all the kinks worked out by 1:00. I'm pretty excited for a weekend of starry wars!!

As cool as it would be to be able to watch all 4 quarter-final matches, and both semi-final matches, with only one camera you'd need to play them sequentially, and since top 8 is match play (~3 hours per match), you're looking at about 12 hours just for the quarter finals, then another ~10 hours for the semis and finals.

While it may not be possible to stream all 4 games at once, it would be cool in the future to get additional cameras so that all day 3 matches can be recorded and posted online. One game would be streamed. Ideally, I would love to have a setup where we would be able to switch between cameras during the streaming game when there are lulls or just to check occasionally on those other games briefly, especially if something cool or epic is happening or about to happen.

Although it is still really early in the States I am ready for testing the connections if needed.
Please let me know through either PM or here on the forum if I need to do something.

If any more commentary is needed for tomorrow, I'd rather do that than play the consolation. I have a laptop... I'll PM Maven.

I did. Well, I was more the guinea pig for getting the technical difficulties figured out, but we worked on it for a few hours!
