Sounds Promising!

Three good options:

If you want to be in Nijmegen early on:
1. Land at Weeze (Germany).
2. Land at Eindhoven (NL; closest) or one of the other Dutch airports, take a train to Nijmegen.

If you want to go for something a bit more touristy:
3. Land at Amsterdam, explore the city, stay with one of the Amsterdam lads.

Would be great if you can make it Paul!

If I can help in any way, let me know!

Might this be family friendly? If so I might be able to at least discuss it with my partner!

We've looked into it and there is enough stuff to to for the family. I'll come alone though, thinking about staying for 1 night after the event. Is anybody else looking for a place to sleep?

Option 3 sounds great. I am looking at flying in to Amsterdam on the Saturday morning (land at 11:35) and fly out of Amsterdam on Monday night (take off at 21:00). I am perfectly happy entertaining myself in Amsterdam (please keep your comments clean  ) on the Saturday and Monday but I would be looking for a place to crash on Saturday and Sunday nights. I do not want anyone to feel obliged as it is the time of year that you should all be spending with your families! Also if anyone wants to join me in Amsterdam on the Saturday afternoon/Monday daytime that would be great. Full disclosure: I still haven't ran this plan past my wife yet but she doesn't really like me so that should not be a problem!

You are welcome to stay at my place. I do have some other commitments, but I think there should be enough time to hang out as well. Like the other Dutch people said, great to see such enthusiasm for this tourney!

Hmm, I just noticed the message about the location that still needs to be chosen. When will this be? I don't want to make any hotel bookings without being sure where we'll end up playing.

Family stuff.

There are some options within 15 minutes walking:
- Indoor playground
- Cinema
- Cafe s

There are great options with good weather. But in December anything can happen in the NL. Expect cold. Still, there is a great zoo (https://www.burgerszoo.com) and a small children’s theme park at 20 minutes driving distance. Nijmegen is a big city and offers all the shopping and food/drinks you may expect. Everything is open on Sundays.

Another interesting option is to book a cottage in an area with lots of nature, a fireplace, etc. There are some options closeby. I would myself go for de hoge veluwe, a beautiful area 30 minutes from Nijmegen.

Best
Tom
