Celebrity quarantine videos. Really demonstrates how talentless some of these people are.

Being super cautious by wearing a mask but keeping your nose exposed.

Also, smoking cigarettes and having to remove your mask.

They probably just don't understand.

I saw somebody going to get takeout at a restaurant and he got out of his car with his mask over his forehead (so he could easily put it on, I presume) but when he went to grab his food he left it up, stopped to put on gloves to touch the food box, and walked away without putting his mask actually over his face.

If you go to the trouble to bring a mask and even put it around your neck, why not just put it on your face at that point?

Seeing sign language interpreters way more. Doesn't it seem like close caption is cheaper?

I'm aware of captioning on "live" steams but not aware of any done for a live audience (rare at the moment).

Side note, I rarely watch tv or movies at home without captions, despite full hearing.

You guys are insane. I can't watch tv/movie with closed captioning on at all, it is way too distracting.

Agree. I just read it all, and don't watch the faces, action, etc. It moves eye focus to the wrong area.

Close captioning is definitely a pet peeve.

Middle ground on captioning. I don't love it for first viewings.

If you're trying to pick up more details on a movie you've seen before it can be pretty great.

I dated a girl who watched TV with CC on always and she was pretty much the most garbage person I've ever known. Ever since then, I have to be careful about assuming that everyone who watches stuff with CC is a garbage person.

I first discovered the benefits of Close Captioning with the movie "Trainspotting".

I only turn off close captioning for comedies, where typically the joke is typed out before you hear it.

Although I HATE when the close captioning is slightly different than what is said.

Example: said out loud: "I HAVE TOLD JACOB A MILLION TIMES ABOUT THAT"
close caption: "I TOLD HIM"

Cretins that say: " I just want 1 Taco Supreme"

Simply say: "I want 1 Taco Supreme"

The use of "just" is irrelevant to the quantity you want to pay for.

TL:DR, people use the word "JUST" when ordering through a drive-thru to attempt to subconsciously divert/confuse the people making the food that they "simply want 3-10 items" because the word "JUST" was used in their expression. It is false hope.

Say what you want, cut the BS aka the word JUST, and move on.

Typical order at Taco Bell:

"I just want 3 Nachos and Cheese, 2 Soft Taco Supremes, 1 Beef Quesarito, and 3 Chicken Quesadillas". >> The Quesadillas take the most time, relative to the other items, and ordering them as the last items to your order entirely screw up the order as they are steamed AND grilled. #consideration4others

Authority figures giving orders that contradict orders that they gave 3 weeks ago, and not acknowledging it.

Example: Mask effectiveness.
