Employees who ask me the same question they asked yesterday and the day before that. Also employees who ask a procedural question, don't like my answer, and refuse to follow said procedure.

Conference calls where people make jokes. Everyone tries to make peanut gallery comments, and the format simply doesn't support it.

There is literally a person doing dishes or something and everyone is telling them to shut up, but the person isn't actually listening. My wife putting away the groceries. She has a habit of just throwing the new things in front, instead of putting the new food in the back, insuring that the older food gets used first.
....and yes, I'm fully aware she does this on purpose.

People that put in IT tickets when they get locked out of something and ask if IT changed their password.
Yes we sit around all day and just randomly change passwords.

Social media seems to think everyone is obsessed with K-Pop and Billy Porter...my limited Social media exposure really needs to make me aware of every single news story about these two subjects.

Re: Irrational Pet Peeves? List em here!
These new one way grocery aisles are the worst!
All they do is encourage loitering in the main aisle as you crane your neck to see if you really need to visit that aisle after all. Moreover, they increase the overall time spent in the store. Not to mention, there's invariably some oblivious rube ignoring the directions anyway!
Two thumbs wayyyyyyyyy down.

We have only oblivious rubes here, so since 100% of shoppers are ignoring the directions, they don't cause ANY problems at all!3MW0J8 wrote: ↑April 21st, 2020, 9:39 pmThese new one way grocery aisles are the worst!

Re: Irrational Pet Peeves? List em here!
You walk up aisle 1 and grab stuff you want. So far so good.
You don't need anything from aisle 2, so you skip it.
Oh wait. Now you need things from aisle 3, but you can't go down aisle 3 because you're on the wrong end. You have to go down aisle 2 or 4 in order to come back up aisle 3.
---
On the plus side I like the checkout system where they have one long line of customers (6 feet apart, of course) and someone calls the front customer and points them to whichever register is open. All lines should work like this all the time, not just during the pandemic. No more playing register lottery where you pray you didn't pick a line with someone that's gonna argue about coupons for 15 minutes.

Re: Irrational Pet Peeves? List em here!
I know this is just a joke reference to that other thread but self-checkout is useless now.
1. Store still enforcing the 15 item max limit for self checkout. But you're supposed to plan ahead and only go to the grocery store once a week for one big shopping trip.
2. As I just mentioned a couple posts up, regular checkout is awesome now with the shot caller directing people from a master line to individual registers.

Re: Irrational Pet Peeves? List em here!
I've never seen that limit before. Odd.
..so just catching up to self-kiosks in that way, and when stores revert back, kiosks still have that awesome advantage?2. As I just mentioned a couple posts up, regular checkout is awesome now with the shot caller directing people from a master line to individual registers.
