So hunter knows people who say "Oh yeah, he's looking well out there, bruh. For sure." But not anyone that pronounces SNES "Ess En E Ess"?
Yeah. You think the guy who says that first line is going to spell out S.N.E.S. instead of saying "Snez?"

In my experience, the people who actually owned the SNES when it was new just called it "Super Nintendo." The NES was a "Nintendo." And in fact, playing video games on a console at home (as opposed to at the arcade) was often just called "playing Nintendo" regardless of which system you had. People "played Nintendo" on Sega just as sure as people drank "a Coke" that was a Pepsi, or used "a Kleenex" or a "Q-Tip" that was any other brand.

Years later, when the next generation started to do some retro gaming, they were the ones who started using an abbreviation instead of calling it the "Super Nintendo." They called it the "Snez." Neither group said S.N.E.S. because if you're wanting something shorter to say than "Super Nintendo" (5 syllables) why would you shorten it to S.N.E.S. (4 syllables) when you *could* just shorten it to "Snez" (1 syllable)? That'd be dumb. That'd be like deciding you don't want to pronounce all of All Terrain Armored Transport, so you shorten it to A.T.A.T. when you *could* just shorten it to At-At. DUMB.

When you say snez, you mean sness, right? I'm just making sure it's a soft s, not hard z.

People who make comments out loud hoping that you'll reply so that they'll be able to chat with you. Not in an aggressive way... Because they're lonely.

The guy at my gym who yells "YEAAAAA!" after doing one armed rows. Also, see above, as he is the one who makes the comments hoping for engagement.

My baby's This Little Piggy book that has not escaped the scourge known as political correctness.

"This Little Piggy went to the market"
"This Little Piggy stayed home"
"This Little Piggy had candy" (MEAT IS MURDER, DIABETES IS A-OK
"This Little Piggy had fun" (can't exclude this piggy from poisoning himself
"This Little Piggy went wee wee wee.."

WHY?!?!

Imaging how awesome one's life must be to afford the time and emotional capital into changing something this innocuous.

People with a "system" when it comes to games of complete chance (lottery/basically sports betting etc...), especially since they can never back it up with any consistent success.

My dad had "one" for roulette. I then explained how it was mathematically impossible for him to have any system for a game where they pay out lower than the odds. Its like I ruined gambling for him.

There is a "system" but house maximum bets foil the plan but if, hypothetically speaking, they didn't then you would need a lot of money.

If you mean progressive betting, even with no limits, you'd need infinite money, eventually, and you'd be risking a ton to win very little quite often.

And let's be honest....if you had a truly successful system, you wouldn't reveal it. This is a major plot device in Back to the Future II

It would have to be. Because mathematically the casinos set their games to give themselves the most advantage. They do it in small ways that people don't realize.

Example: The individual numbers pay out usually around 34 to 1. But the odds to hit that number are 38 to 1. Every time you are betting on a number, you are giving away 4 to 1 odds for nothing. The only way to make up that advantage is to do a progressive betting system, which is a gambler's fallacy in my opinion. That double or nothing attitude until you break even.

Yeah but everybody knows that if it lands on 0 or 00 then it's highly unlikely for it to land on there again next spin.

Isn't that not true? There is just as likely a chance that it lands on those numbers again as any other specific number? Interestingly known as the Gambler's Fallacy

Pet Peeve....anyone who uses the phrase 'VEGAS BABY!"
Note: You are not obligated by law to title any Las Vegas related photo albums "vegas baby", and i implore you just to title it "vegas trip" or something similar
