HITCO vs. Puke Watto

Hi Guys,

How do I play against the Dark Path / S&D / 4X Imp. Barrier / Projective Telepathy version of Watto with HITCO?

Run a copy or two of sense and barrier cancelers. Clash is big against non-Walker variants when you do get battles in.

Early on almost never pay to let them deploy stuff with a deck like Hitco. You don’t put a ton of cards on the table like EBO or Diplo does, so it’s usually worth losing 2 force over giving them a big tempo swing.

I think Watto is going to typically get an earlier lead in force loss, but if you’re patient it seems like a winnable match for Hitco.

You need to get 2 beatdowns in. 1 to draw out the ghhk, and another one to end the game.

As others have mentioned, Sense/Barrier cancelers are good ideas. If you don't want to waste one of your battle tricks on Watto, don't forget you can send him to used pile.

My current Watto deck is still Legacy. Where do I find a list for "Puke Watto?" Was it used in a recent tourney?

I don't have experience with the matchup but my guess would be to fortify Mos Espa, drain big for 4 and retrieve with objective once you have control over a 2nd bg like the 2/2 or Ewok Village. Cards like Bionic Hand v, Insertion Planning or Leia v can help vs Veers in Walker.

Beware of Ghana Gleemort though. That pig can ruin the plan to race Watto, when you don't attack the junkyard.
