First Round Pairings
OK; here's the first round pairings. You have until next Tuesday Midnight EST (7.21.09) to play your game. You are required to contact your opponent and set-up your game.
All games here are completely random; after this it goes by win/loss/differential (just like a normal tournament).
All names on the LEFT HAND SIDE are DARK SIDE are names on the RIGHT HAND SIDE are LIGHT SIDE; and this is how it will be for the remainder of the tournament.
Ok.... unto the pairings:
1. Kryptofis vs mr007agent
2. quesosauce37 vs. Shewski
3. JarJarDrinks vs. DDM
4. Meto vs. UCSBYoda
5. Cloudburst vs. Spideyguy0
6. Patmagroin vs. Darren Pillbeam
After you have played your game; both players are required to PM the following:
1) Who Won/Lost
2) Differential
3) A basic outline of what your opponent's deck was
4) The saved game-log of your game

You may use this thread to discuss with your opponent about how/when to find time to play your game.

I didn't save it just now cause I didn't realize we had to. Maybe Cloudburst did, I dunno. I'll do it from now on.Farmer Bob wrote:Aha, thank you, good catch.Cloudburst wrote:So are we no longer sending in a game log?

Re: First Round Pairings
Its really only an issue to use if someone calls 'cheating' and I need to look it up. There is no other reason for it; and I don't really have the time to waste sifting through an entire game's log just to see what happaned - UNLESS - cheating was called and I needed to take a realistic/judicial look into things.spideyguy0 wrote:I didn't save it just now cause I didn't realize we had to. I saved the game, but not a copy of the log. Then again, Casey didn't cheat, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Re: First Round Pairings
I assume that you just copy and paste it into word or even into the pm.Meto wrote:How is the game log saved?

If you save the game; the log should be saved as well.

if you save the game, the only people who could access the log are the people who played the game, if my limited understanding of holotable is correctJarJarDrinks wrote:Are you sure? Where would it be located?Farmer Bob wrote:If you save the game; the log should be saved as well.

Wherever your saved games folder is.
Ever have a game stop on you and you saved but opponent didn't? And he reconnects and you bring up the saved game file? It has your entire game's log in; all the way back to whatever the two of you were talking about before you loaded decks.

You get the other player to reload the saved game with you and it pops up.JarJarDrinks wrote:Are you sure? Where would it be located?Farmer Bob wrote:If you save the game; the log should be saved as well.

Re: First Round Pairings
Your prolly right; I would need the password or something; and then it should be workable right?quesosauce37 wrote:if you save the game, the only people who could access the log are the people who played the game, if my limited understanding of holotable is correctJarJarDrinks wrote:Are you sure? Exactly. You just both need to remember your password for the game.spideyguy0 wrote:You get the other player to reload the saved game with you and it pops up.JarJarDrinks wrote:Are you sure? Where would it be located?Farmer Bob wrote:If you save the game; the log should be saved as well.

Re: First Round Pairings
Anyway; this is really only in the need of someone calling cheating.
So in principle, everyone should be saving their game files and remembering the password they attached to it.
If someone calls somebody out on cheating; then you can send me the game file/log and the password and I'll act all judicial.

Re: First Round Pairings
I'm pretty sure when a saved game is resumed, it comes up with a blank log. Also just the game password wouldn't be enough to get in. You'd need the login name/account password also, which I doubt people would want to give up.

Re: First Round Pairings
Unfortunately the log doesn't always record every card movement - particularly if they move stuff manually rather than using the hotkeys to retrieve or lose from reserve, etc. and that tends to be where arguements arise in games online.Farmer Bob wrote:Anyway; this is really only in the need of someone calling cheating.
